All rotating assemblies and sliding mechanisms incorporate bushes or bearings to reduce friction for  sustained, energy-efficient operation. An estimated 10 billion bearings are manufactured every year, with applications including automotive, marine, rail and aerospace transportation, heavy industry/manufacturing, construction, and mining.

We have designed multiple lead-free alloys in the Bright Brass™ family for self-lubricating bearing applications. These alloys can provide an economically viable, high-performance, low-cost replacement to leaded-tin-bronze alloys, existing lead-free bearing alloys or sintered products.
