Bright Brass for High-Performance Ammunition Casings

Bright Brass™-cased bullets are being produced for trial by the Australian Defense Force in partnership with Thales Australia. Early tests have shown increased range and energy at target when compared with cartridge brass-cased bullets. They are also lighter weight.

The cases are less expensive on a commodity cost basis. Through an Australian Research Council Linkage grant, we are investigating manufacturing efficiencies for further reduced cost.
